The oven on our 12-year old stove quit working and I was unsure if it would be possible to fix it so I started shopping for a new stove. Sticker Shock! Due to tariffs (and I'm guessing supply/demand issues) a lesser model of the same brand stove we bought about 12 years ago, is now almost twice what we paid then for a much higher grade model; add to that, none of the appliance places I visited had one on display so I could 'kick the tires' and I'm not paying $3000 for a stove sight unseen. I decided to look into repairing the old stove and a Google search turned up FUSE HVAC & APPLIANCE REPAIR. I called them and they answered immediately - no 'leave a message and we'll call back' (in a couple of days). To my delight, they said they could send a service person out the very next day. I was working that day so I did not get to meet Dmitrii, but my husband said he was very nice and appeared to know what he was doing. There diagnostic service charge was reasonable, and they sent me an estimate for parts and repairs about a day later. It was definitely less expensive than a new (lower-grade) stove so we went ahead with the repair. It took a little over a week for the parts to come in (fairly quickly in light of previous experiences) and when they arrived, Dmitrii scheduled an appointment for the very next day to complete the repairs. He fixed the oven and also the ignitors on the burners that had stopped working a few years ago, thus added very little to the overall repair cost. It's nice not having to reach for a clicker every time I need to use a burner. The initial diagnostic fee was credited into the repairs which made the entire cost very reasonable. I have used their services twice. Once to fix my clothes dryer and recently to fix my dishwasher. I spoke on the phone with Amy and Dimitri came to do a diagnostic, estimate and repair. Dimitri kept in contact with me for his ETA because I had asked for a late afternoon appt time. He showed up on time and was very polite and professional. He got straight to work after having to greet my obnoxious little rescue dog, (which I really appreciated). He found that he had to order a new part for the dishwasher. That was late on a Friday, he got the part over the weekend and was back to my house on Monday afternoon to do the repair. To follow up, Dimitri contacted me to make sure the dishwasher was working properly. I had to tell him that I hadn't had to run it yet but would let him know. It does run great and is even quieter than it was originally! I'm very pleased about that. So, yes I recommend FUSE HVAC and will use them again. Dmitri and his team did a fantastic job all around. First, I greatly appreciated the no-charge diagnostic house call. That's an extremely rare service. In this case it was significant because the issue related to a part that was no longer available - meaning I would have eaten the diagnostic without any solution. Second, the team went above and beyond to find a replacement part and alternate repair service. While that proved impossible they did the legwork. Finally, in the end I ordered a complete replacement hood. Dmitri stretched his service offering (usually just repair) by agreeing to install the new unit and dispose of the old one.
